Im a 19 year old girl and im very worried about my dads problem with perscriptions and also his slight alcoholism he is a great person and very functioning hes done well for himself but I worry about his physical and MENTAL health. I notice patterns of denial and also he offers me pills as well but im afraid im starting to like em a little too much lol so please i need some advice.
i dont know this has been going on a while i just dont know how to show him his lifestyle is unhealthy!!! i really have nowhere to turn my mom is just so indifferent to thewhole thing ahhh!!!!

Oxycontin and other prescription pills can be very addictive almost on a level of illegal drugs like cocaine or heroine. I’ve had problems with many pain pills and they can ruin your life, stay away from unnesesary useage.

the first step to getting help si admitting you have a problem,and you want help,until you can get him to see he has a problem he wont want to change. ive baan addicted to oxys before,an it wasnt fun at all,they are highly addictive. an until he comes out of denial,there is nothing you can do.some people realize they need help,others dont.ultimatly its all up to your father to decide what he wants. but you can if there is a program in your area,sign him up for an inhouse rehab treatment,or you can try getting him to go to na(narcotics anonomys) but the best thing you can do if he does decide to get clean is support him,completely,that will encorage him,to try an stay sober,an once he decides to get help,would be the best time to tell him hoew you feel about it.
