Last night he was mad, so he chugged an entire bottle of vodka. He’s been throwing up all night and having diarrhea(sorry for all the gory details). He also has a sharp stabbing pain in his stomach that has lasted all night and has prevented him from sleeping off this sickness. I want to know if he is experiencing withdraw or is his body just rejecting the alcohol. And is the stabbing pain in his stomach related to the amount of alcohol he drank or is it something else? Thank you so much for all your help. I’m really worried and I want all his pain to stop. Thank you!

His body is rejecting the alcohol because vodka is mostly pure alcohol. Tell him to drink plain old water and if it continues, to go to the ER

well technically if he was going through “withdrawal”, then that would mean he did not ingest any alcohol, so that’s probably not it. More than likely, his body was responding to the large amount of alcohol ingested in such a short period of time. And that is anybody – if anyone chuggs an entire bottle of vodka, more than likely they will become sick. But alcoholism is no joke and if you think he might have a serious problem, get him help!
