My Boyfriend Is a Heroin/cocaine Addict, Help.?

Question by Audrey: My boyfriend is a heroin/cocaine addict, help.?
I went away for the past four months to help orphans in Vietnam & Korea, and I did a fairly okay job of keeping up with my boyfriend at home. (I am 22, he is 23.)

I came home the other day for the first time, and I noticed he was acting very strange, and being a Psychology major in college, I noticed he had withdrawal symptoms. I looked into it, and ransacked his belongings and I found a syringe, and I am scared for his health, and my safety. He is a burly guy (I am 5’4, he is 6’5) and I am afraid that he will lash out shortly.

He didn’t use before I left, I am certian of that, because he had to bulk up for army recruiting.

Can I make him go to a rehab center?
Please, please help me.
An advice or tidbits on how I go about confronting him?

& Can I force him to go to a rehab clinic?
