John Mayer and Eric Clapton play “Crossroads” on Good Morning America on ABC. On Friday, July 20, 2007, ABC’s Good Morning America featured a performance by John Mayer with very special guest, Eric Clapton. July 20 marks Fender’s release of the limited edition Eric Clapton Crossroads Stratocaster, also known as the “Sun Strat”, that Fender’s Custom Shop has created to help support The Crossroads Centre, Antigua, the drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facility founded by Clapton in 1998 on the small Caribbean island. Only 100 Sun Strats will be produced by the Custom Shop’s Master Builders, all proceeds from the sale of which will benefit The Crossroads Centre. Not Just Any White Boy From Connecticut… John Mayer isn’t just any white guy from Connecticut. With a resume chock full of pop hits, the singer also has street credibility with an eclectic mix of music legends — and talent to match.
