The scourge of meth has hit too many Minnesota communities that are desperate for help to stop the flow of these drugs. I was named Congressman of the Year by the National Narcotics Officers Association Coalition (NNOAC) representing over 70000 law enforcement officers, for the work I’ve done to fight meth and other dangerous drugs in our communities. Five anti-meth provisions I authored are now law, and I led a bipartisan effort this year that restored $50 million to the Byrne-JAG program that is critical to providing local law enforcement officers with the resources, training and equipment necessary to combat drugs in our communities.
