My ex husband married a woman that had 13 felony drug convictions 2 years before marrying her…….and they still hired him on as a cop because she completed 3 years of probation. Now 2 years into their marriage she was just charged with 9 more felonies (5 forgery, 3 theft of property over 0, and 1 driving under the influence of drugs). Can he keep his job after this? I thought cops weren’t supposed to associate with felons…………and I thought cops were supposed to be trained in knowing when someone’s under the influence of drugs (she’s in rehab for drug addiction right now) ???? It was in our local paper in the city he works in so the department must know! How can they allow this?
I’m asking about this because we’re in the middle of a custody battle.
