Is Pot Physically Addictive? Not Even Just a Little?
Question by MikeBeGood: Is pot physically addictive? Not even just a little?
I know the “scientific studies” say that marijuana isn’t physically addictive, but only mentally. I fully believe the mental addiction part, and I must say that I really do believe its somewhat PHYSICALLY addicting.
I’ve been smoking for about 8 years, everyday, multiple times a day and it would be the end if i didnt have marijuana. So I’ve tried to stop a few times, and it is obviously…hell.
I expect the anger and depression, the short fuse and inability to focus, but what I don’t get is the sleeplessness, extreme sweating, loss of apetite (and with that, migranes from lack of food), and constant jittering/shaking.
To me, the no sleep, the sweating, loss of apetite and shakes are pretty physical conditions.
Someone may say, well all that is connected to your brain so its mental…but isnt EVERYTHING?
Maybe I’m just confused about what physical addiction is, please somebody clear this up…preferrably a doctor or an educated person with sources.
I leave you with one thought before everyone says “Pot isn’t addicting blah blah blah”
Different strokes, for different folks…

being addicted and dependant on a substance are two different things. your body will have withdrawal symptoms if you take anything over a long period of time. ie sleeping tablets ie zopiclone is said not to be addictive but our body becomes used to it depending on it to get to sleep. take away the drug …what happens we don’t sleep. we are not addicted we are dependant. im not sure ive explained this very well, maybe your best to google it. sorry. im trying to say that your dependant on hash maybe not addicted. anyways best trying to come off it its more harmful than people are led to believe.
