Is Meth Different Than Speed?

Question by lichdictator: Is Meth different than speed?
I was talking to a friend and he said that meth and speed are the same thing. So I wanted to check it out online and it seemed to me that the chemical makeup of meth is slightly different from that of speed, I could be wrong here. It seemed as though the strengths varied. Anyone with any insight that could clear this up for me?
