I’m Having Issues With Methodone and My Girlfriend?

Question by : i’m having issues with methodone and my girlfriend?
i was recently incarcerated for 8 months and when i came out i had picked up a heroine addiction in prison wich extended to the street, my gf said it was like cheating on her cause when i went to jail i didn’t even drink and the main reason i took the sentence i got was to protect her from any legal issues and she does know this. now i’m on methodone and i’m recieving help for my addiction but she’s not very suportive of my treatment and in fact she’s making me feel very much less optimistic than i was at the start. every day she tells me i’m a junkie, dope head, heroine user, and that i’m never going to get better or even that i’ll never live a normal life. i really love her and this hurts alot but i really don’t know what i should do. please give me your opinions
also she did not write to me the whole time i was in. or keep in contact.

that s a really sad story 🙁
i think your girlfriend should be the main one to support you in your treatment
and encourage you 🙁

truth is .. whatever anyone says. Stay strong and fight your addiction 🙂

You had a good chance to clean up your act and instead you broke more laws and did what could have gotten you even more time. That was dumb on your part. You have created the problem for yourself and she may be grateful for what you did but coming out addicted to something is no reason for her to stand by your side, she didn’t put in for that and that is what you did on your own. You have found your pleasure in seeing how far you can push things and she just doesn’t like that side of you, and I don’t blame her. When I was incarcerated I saw stuff like that going on also but I stayed as far away from it and those doing it as I could so I could get my time done and out of there. When those things don’t matter to a person they don’t have much to look forward to and your girlfriend is seeing that with wide open eyes. Don’t you think she is seeing any kind of future you could have together going down the drain? If you went from a recreational user to an addict it has her scared straight and may be frightened for what that means for what you might do and be the rest of your life. You can’t put it on her for what you did, that’s on you. If you had loved her as you say you would have just stayed clean, for her and yourself.
