Hi, did you have personal experience with this? Not being nosey at all. I need to get as much info as i can. I know i’m in for a major challenge.

depends how bad the alcoholic is….it may need to be done in a hospital rehab setting. The withdrawl is dangerous enough to cause DEATH….I’m not kidding.

Milder detox cases can get by with a benzodiazapine type drug (valium)…

AA is usually part of the followup. Look up the DT’s…or delirium tremens
