How to I Get My Parents to Get Me an Xbox 360?

Question by Kevin N: How to I get my parents to get me an Xbox 360?
Title is pretty much self-explanatory, I’m 14, in Jr. High (where I live, 9th grade is Jr. High), and do pretty well in school. However, there are a few things you should note-

– My parents are Chinese, and so am I (no, I’m not racist, it’s a fact). I don’t know about other people, but Chinese parents tend to be loads more strict on their kids than other parents. My parents have a heavy disagreement on my entertainment habits. They say that I should be focusing more on my studies than on my short-term entertainment. They want me to be a good little nerd and study like hell. Since the Chinese standard of education is loads higher than the American standard, my parents insist on enrolling me in much harder courses in middle school than the “norm”, and refuse to get me any gaming system at all, and more or less draw the line at having the TV.

-Since they’re Chinese, they think that the “standard” is constant study, doing nerdy things, enrolling in academic clubs, etc. To give you an accurate representation of what goes on in our house: my parents don’t have any sort of cable or dish network (excluding Chinese channels), and barely let me watch TV at all, let alone video games. They think that playing half-hour on weekends is an “addiction”
and think that if I get a 360, I’ll play all the time, and waste away my life *sigh* I have better things to do than that.

-Since they think that I’m “supposed” to get good grades, doing good in school has no use at all (I already have a 4.0, and I actually value my education, in any case). To give you an accurate example (again), my parents think that having a B is the average equivalent of a D+. It’s not only applied to schools. They think I’m “supposed” to enroll in nerdy clubs (I throw away the darned applications if they come, I’m busy enough as it is, and I have a social life), “supposed” to clean my room constantly, “supposed” to be nice to them constantly, “supposed” not to use “swear” words such as stupid, nerd, homosexual, etc.; you get the idea.

I’m not asking them to buy it for me; I have the money, and are perfectly willing to buy it myself with my own hard-earned money.
However, they don’t want me to “waste” it, and want me to spend it on nerdy stuff like SAT study guides, etc. All I’m asking is if there is a way to get them to agree to my purchasing one, or if there is a way to sneak it past them without them finding out, then not confiscating it when they find out. Any help is greatly appreciated.
