Background info: This kid I used to know recently got in a car accident while driving drugged up on god-knows-what. He does all sorts of crap; snorts amphetamines, smokes 24/7, drinks and drives all the time. Anyways, he got arrested after the cops showed up and realized he was high as a kite. He then got put in some rehab program. During his trial, he ‘gave up’ all the names of people he knew did drugs/sold drugs in exchange for a reduced sentence. Since he’s still under 18, he essentially got off the hook with a slap on the wrists – I don’t think he did any jailtime, just a 30-day rehab thing. Anyways, I was one of the names he gave up. He told them that I had sold him ritalin, and that he had also seen me smoke weed.

Technically both are true.
– The ritalin: During finals week about a year ago, I gave him like 30mg of my ritalin to help him study for an exam after he told me he ran out of his prescription. He had literally been asking me for weeks, begging me to give him some “or else he was gonna fail his exams because his ritalin prescription ran out” (which it did). I finally relented, and brought him some for free because I felt bad for him. He then asked me again a month or so after that, and after telling him for weeks that I couldn’t spare any, I finally gave him another day or two’s dose for like $ 5 or some crap. Obviously I didn’t do it for the $ $ $ – I did it because he wouldn’t leave me alone and I figured I wouldn’t be doing any harm since I was only giving him a little and that it didn’t really matter because he already had a prescription for it.
– The weed: I’ve smoked twice in my life. The first time was at a concert like 6 months ago. I went with some of my friends, and he was there too. It was really stupid cuz I only took like 2 hits and didn’t even get high. But regardless, he was with my group of friends and was a “witness” (even though everyone else at the concert was smoking as well). The second time was like a month ago. Same deal: took a couple hits, didn’t get high, that was it.

So technically both his assertions are true: I DID technically sell him drugs (but only because he wouldn’t leave me alone) and I DID smoke weed (even though he only saw me once, and I’ve only actually smoked twice in my life). Obviously these two events were blown way out of proportion. The list of people he “named” was 12 people long. This was the first sign that his confessions were bullsh*t: the kid was a HUGE druggie and knew a hell of a lot more people who had ever done/sold drugs than just 12. The second sign was when I asked around to some of his friends if they got named. None of them did.

So basically he didn’t want to give anyone he knew/was friends with up, and instead just listed me as a scapegoat to take the blame. I shouldn’t have been on that list, as my interactions with the kid and with drugs has been very minimal.

My parents were emailed with the news that I was on the list. Naturally, they weren’t too happy. I now have to go to a drug counselor (which again, is absolutely retarded. I don’t even like drugs, and have only smoked weed [which everyone knows is pretty much harmless] like twice in my life). I also have to go to court and try to prove to them that this is all bulls**t. My parents are also going to drug test me now (which I should pass), and I’m grounded for like 3 months because everything was blown out of proportion.

Long story short, this d-bag kid tried to scapegoat me for his own stupidity and tried to send me to jail (selling ritalin is a felony in wisconsin, where I live) for crap I really didn’t even do. I helped him out because I felt bad for him, and now he’s stabbing me in the back.

How can I get him back? I’m talking serious revenge here – ruining his car, trashing his house, paying some homeless guy to beat him up. If I get charged for this sh*t, it could ruin my life and chances of getting into a good college. What are some ideas in which I could either get him in serious trouble, or ruin something of his? For example, my most extreme idea thus far is to buy a felony amount of drugs, plant it in his car overnight, and then call the cops on him the next day and have him sent to jail where he belongs. I was also thinking about drilling holes in his tires, throwing paint all over his car overnight, or egging the inside of his car if he ever leaves he windows down when he’s asleep. I know where he lives, but that’s just about it, so I’ll have get revenge overnight. Any suggestions?

PS: I understand the potential ramifications of my actions. But karma’s a b*tch and this kid has it coming.

How is getting back at him going to help your case?
You need to focus on your future and what you have learned from this experience. Be very selective as to whom you help, and trust no one.
Ritalin is a drug for hyperactivity, isn’t it? Tell the judge you felt sorry for him because you thought he could not afford the drug and thought he was really sick, and as far as the weed, that has nothing to do with his case, what you have done that does not involve him and if you have a good lawyer. you can prove that.
If you are thinking of getting even, it may backfire, and you will only have more problems.
