Question by Alex B: How long until the benzoylecgonine from cocaine leaves your system? Do they test for it when donating plasma?
Today was my Roommates 21st B-day so we did a couple lines of Coke. I snorted 2 lines, which was the first time for me in 2 years. I’m lightweight and have a fast metabolism. I know that the actual cocaine will leave my system within the next couple days, but that it leaves behind benzoylecgonine (a matabolite). I had planned on Donating Plasma soon (tomorrow actually but guess that is canceled). I was curious to know how quickly benzoylecgonine can be matabolized and Also was wondering what the exact screening process Biolife puts you through when donating plasma.

P.S. I Know benzoylecgonine “can remain in your system for up to 30 days with frequent use”, but what is the time-frame like for a lightweight, fast metabolism, rare user of cocaine?

it can be detected in urine anywhere from 1 to 3 days since intake, provided the intake is only once or twice.

habitual use can result in traces detected in urine for up to 12 weeks.

said to be retained in your hair for a period of 3 months since intake.

I would say if you only did 2 lines, you’re good on any test that you may take. hope that helps you out! 🙂
