Stars of Light, the groundbreaking and award-winning theatrical troupe from Janet Wattles Center, presented its 200th show Wednesday before an audience of teenagers in treatment for substance abuse at Rosecrance. Through poignant and often funny skits, the actors showed life from the perspective of people who suffer from mental illness. Most of the “Stars” have struggled with mental health issues and some are in recovery from substance abuse. They share their stories with audiences after each performance. The spring tour show is titled “On the Path.” It depicts interactions between people with mental health issues and so-called normal folks who encounter one another on a bike/walking path.
