How Do You Feel When You’re High on Crystal Meth?

Question by Nipuna: How do you feel when you’re high on Crystal Meth?
When you’re high on weed you feel like floating and relaxed and funny thoughts come to mind. And on Ecstasy you feel pumped up. Likewise what do you feel when you’re high on Meth?

I believe it varies with each person. If you’ve ever read up on the use of meth, you’ll notice the high being described as feelings of “pleasure” and “euphoria”. I’ve been a meth addict for 3 years and have never really experienced those feelings as a direct result of the drug.
A meth high also isn’t really simplified as ‘it feels like this’. As each day without sleep goes by, the side affects begin to change.

Initially when I began using meth, I was able to go out and talk to people and do things. That was short lived. Now I strongly prefer to be alone while I’m high. It’s very much an intellectual thing for me, although I have realized it creates a feeling of numbness emotionally. I spend a lot of time writing or researching and am able to process things without really having to ‘feel’ them. It quickly turns to a state of paranoia and fear as the hallucinations and the “shadow people” begin to appear. Your body aches from not being able to rest and recharge. Your mouth is dry, you get a headache from clenching your jaws for hours, days on end without realizing. Your skin gets greasy as the drug tries to leave your body and a lot of meth users being to smell strange, bad. You feel extremely irritable by simple things like interruptions or dogs barking, etc. It goes on and on depending how far into it you get.

Obviously you’ve never tried the drug before which is why you’re asking about the high. My advice is to not try it ever. If you’ve ever seen meth advertisements, they warn “Meth, Not even once” and as an addict to the substance myself, I cannot agree more. It is not worth experimenting with. Go have fun with some mushrooms and expand your mind, rather than inflict permanent damage to it.
