How Do I Stop a 16 Year Old Girl From Having ANYTHING to Do With My 13 Year Old Daughter?

Question by Steven S: How do I stop a 16 year old girl from having ANYTHING to do with my 13 year old daughter?
My 15 year old daughter was encouraged by this “girl” to runaway, they were gone for two days, the police officer that came to see me, told me then, that when they came home to ensure that my daughter didn’t have anything to do with this girl. I enforced that, my daughter accepted it and I thought we were over it. Then this girl gets my 13 year old daughter to sneak out of the house, I have told my daughter, this girl and this girls parents that I do not approve of the 16 year old hanging out with my 13 year old, but it is still happening, and causing my daughter to repeatedly lie to me. My daughter is a young 13, she is naive and I think likes the fact that an older girl wants to hang out with her, but if I’m totally honest my daughter is not only naive but stupid too. I also just found out that this girl has recently been in a teen drug rehab and was expelled from the local high school. How can I keep this girl from having anything at all to do with either of my daughters?

Put a restraining order on her and don’t let your kids see you blame only her. You need to make sure they know that you hold them responsible for doing what they did being that the 16 year old did not force them. They need to be punished for what they did and made to understand that the next time they will be in serious trouble.
