How Do I Get Accepted to a Good College?
Question by SRT: How do I get accepted to a good college?
So im 15 and in the fall I will be a sophomore at Inglemoor High. I currently have a 3.73 GPA. I want to get into a good college like the University of Washington or Seattle University so I can become an addiction specialist. What should I do to get accepted besides good grades? I hear its really hard to get into the UW these days so im worried I might not get in. What can I do now to better my chances in the future?

You have a 3.75 GPA, which is a great start- if it is Unweighted.
You should be taking a lot of challenging Honors and AP Courses, but don’t try to go past your limits, do not depend on the Weighted GPA because colleges rarely look at that.
Your SAT/ACT scores will be extremely important (Probably the most), so I suggest you take the PSAT this Sophmore year. Try to aim for a 1300 on the SAT (not sure for ACT).
Also, don’t be a nerdwhore. Show colleges that you do have a life outside of school. Find a volunteer place where you know you can stay for the next say..one-two years. It’ll show your dedicated and the hours look fantastic on your record. If you can’t find a group, just take the Community Service when you can.
