Please do not do the Master Cleanse. They guy who created it was not a doctor. He was a quack who was later indicted after people died from his “treatments”.
What you don’t know CAN kill you!
Please do your research first!
Good luck!
Edit:
In 1984, Burroughs was found guilty of 2nd degree murder, which was later reduced to a criminal homicide, while one of his “patients” died under the treatment in his book. For more information, see:

I have to disagree with your previous Answerer. I am actually in the middle of my second Master Cleanse (am on my 18th day and will probably go to 21, or 3 weeks). I had a very good experience with my first cleanse the beginning of the year (where I went for 38 days on the cleanse – the minimum is 10 days), and I owe it all to the research I did prior to beginning. First, I found the website below, and bought the 2 books dealing with this – the original book called “The Master Cleanser” by Stanley Burroughs, a naturopath who developed this cleanse about 50 years ago, and the book “Lose Weight, Have More Energy and Be Happier” by Peter Glickman. I will agree with your previous Answerer that “what you don’t know could kill you.” From your question about asking how much to mix/add, that tells me that you know absolutely nothing about this and THAT could be detrimental to your health. You need to do your research, get these books and read all about it, get on the Discussion Board from the website I’ve given you and read others’ experiences who have done this cleanse and are going through it (like me), and make up your own mind if this is something for you. First and foremost, it is NOT a quick fix to lose weight quickly. Although that will happen, if you aren’t careful and change your eating habits (to healthier food), then once you begin eating solid foods again, you WILL gain every bit back. You also need to be very careful when you come off this cleanse to begin eating solid foods properly and not just jump back in – you could make yourself seriously ill. Bottom line – learn all you can about this as it’s not something to take lightly. However, I can tell you from my own experience that if you do it with the right frame of mind, you will come out of it learning much more about yourself than you ever knew.
There will always be controversy surrounding any kind of alternative medicines/healing, simply because you are going outside the conventional norm. That doesn’t make it a bad thing though. I personally believe there is a lot of help out there that isn’t packaged quite the way we are used to.
As a last statement, this Master Cleanse would not have been around for 50 some-odd years if there wasn’t something to it. If people had actually died, I’m sure there would have been lawsuits or something to have banned the selling of these books and the websites (there are several) would have been removed. It will give you what you put into it, but do your homework first.
