Hard Flaccid Penis and Erectile Dysfunction?

Question by Question?!: hard flaccid penis and erectile dysfunction?
Hello, I’m 17 years old and have been sexual active for about 2 years now. Up until very recently I’ve never had any problems with getting an erection or keeping one, in fact, I was often randomly getting erections, waking up with morning wood, etc.

But for two days now, my penis has been firm while flaccid, its still soft, but if I squeeze gently, its certainly harder than it usually is. Also, I tried having sex with my girlfriend tonight, which usually goes fine, I have no problem getting it up, but tonight I simply could not get hard enough. I got probably 70-80% erect, and it just wouldn’t get any harder, and it would slowly become flaccid even during intercourse.

Here are some recent changes that may be related…
-Just quit smoking tobacco, and started using an electronic cigarette, which vaporizes nicotine
-I was just put on Adderall, having previously been on Ritalin, today was the first day I took it, 10mg, but I have had experience with amphetamines (methamphetamine, no longer using) and usually that would get me extremely sexually charged.
-When I went to the doctor to have my ritalin switched to adderall, she commented that my blood pressure is extremely low.
-Lastly, and perhaps least important, I only got 3 hours of sleep last night.

Thanks in advance for any help, my anxiety has me freaking out about this…really hoping I can find an answer without having to head back to the doctor.

On my website www.menshealthcures.com I have several articles on erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.

Erectile dysfunction is either due to a medical condition or mental issue. Based on he scenarios you describe, it sounds like a medical issue in your case, due to the low blood pressure you are experiencing. Neither Adderall or Ritalin list erectile dysfunction as a potential side effect.

Smoking , alcohol and drug use can lead to erectile dysfunction as well

Since an erection is caused by the heart pumping blood into the penis, low blood pressure can also lead to sexual dysfunction.

I would suggest you discuss this with your doctor as soon as possible as low blood pressure can have other dangerous effects on the body as well.
