OH MY GOD. I love that song! Nymphetemine means having a beast like addiction to classical women. He is in love with the girl and he is expressing his feelings.

Nymphetamine is the sixth studio album by Cradle of Filth, released on September 28, 2004. The title combines “nymphet” and “amphetamine”, and is said to refer to an addiction to classical beauty. The album features the debut of guitarist James McIlroy, under the pseudonym “Germs Warfare”.

The title track was nominated for a 2005 Grammy award in the Best Metal Performance category, and appears on the album twice; in a three-part, nine minute version – “Nymphetamine (Overdose)” – and again in a shortened five minute version – “Nymphetamine (Fix)” – as a bonus track. A video was released for the “Fix” version, and this track also appears on the soundtrack for the film Resident Evil: Apocalypse (without its suffix). “Gilded ****” went to number one in the Metal Top Ten on its release. “Coffin Fodder” is mentioned in episode four of the UK comedy The IT Crowd.

The album features guest appearances by Leaves Eyes vocalist Liv Kristine, and Doug Bradley, who most notably played the cenobite Pinhead in Hellraiser and also collaborated on Cradle of Filth’s Midian. It was re-released as a special edition in 2005, with an extra disc featuring two new songs, an alternate version of the title track, and three cover versions.
