Famous Poem Written by Cocaine Addict?
Question by phi t: Famous poem written by cocaine addict?
Hello,
I was talking with an english teacher who told me about this famous guy who wrote this famous poem when he was high on cocaine. He did not finish the poem during his high, so he attempted to do cocaine again to continue the poem, but never got into the rythym again. It was one of the best poems ever written.
Does anyone know who/what poem im talking about? I want to read it

I think that you mean Samuel Taylor Coleridge, in which case it was opium (or laudanum). The poem in question was “Kublai Khan”, and Coleridge was supposedly interrupted by the famous “Person from Porlock”.
