Faculty Members Honored for Public Service

Stanford’s Rob Reich and Debra Satz, who founded the Hope House Scholars Program, were honored Wednesday, May 5, with the Miriam Aaron Roland Volunteer Service Prize. The annual award, which was presented at a luncheon, is given by the Haas Center for Public Service to faculty who make significant contributions through public service. Hope House pairs faculty members with undergraduate teaching assistants who offer liberal arts courses to residents of a drug and alcohol treatment facility for women in Redwood City.
