I’m looking to get back into the service and have been working with the recruiter. Yesterday without thinking I took an ephedrine product and about 20 minutes later went “shit, meth”. So now I’m scouring the internet trying to figure out if it is a tested product and getting all sorts of mixed responses. Is ephedrine HCL a tested chemical or am I in the clear. The test isn’t until Monday so I think I got time to flush it with water but I would still like to know.

They will ask you if you are currently on or have you recently taken anything. Just tell them that you took an OTC cold medicine that may have contained ephedrine (they will want to know brand)…..and VIOLA, you are covered.

There are limits on how much ephedrine individuals can buy, and combining resources is a way around the restrictions. The legislation would make it a felony to purchase pseudoephedrine knowing it will be combined with other ephedrine to make meth.
