Energy 1008207

is crisp and clean, such great sounds out of such a small package, and the sub really surprised me, I keep the volumn about 1/3 or it really shakes the house. Great speaker package!!!

Very good bang for the buck

Great speakers, great sound quality, only thing i wish was that the range of the speakers went a little lower than 120hz. At that range, which is somewhat expected for a speaker this size, the sub has to take over a little higher in the sound range than I would prefer. Those with receivers that don’t have a lot of xover variation might have some issue if you have to have the sub take over even higher in the range at like 150 hz. I also think that for the price difference, you can get better subs out there such as the Bic H100 or PA-120. but for the price, this will crush any HTIB types.

Big sound from a small package

I paired the speakers with an Onkyo sr507 receiver and I couldn’t be happier. As for the stands I went with the Atlantic satellite and made them work. These were not the recommended stands and I did have to “persuade” them a little. I originally tried to purchase Energy Take classic but the seller (Electronics Expo) was out of stock. The seller immediately contacted me and offered to send me the Micro’s for the same price which was quite a deal. I was a little nervous about getting speakers this small for a large living room. The room I put these in is not only large but completely open. The speakers sound amazing!!! Some have commented about these not sounding great with music and I have to disagree. I like loud music and these little gems can kick out the jams. I originally placed the sub in the corner and now have it positioned next to the front right speaker and it sounds much better. I also did contact the manufacture with several newbie questions and they were great.
The best thing about Amazon is the customer reviews. I was going to buy a completely different set up but I’m glad I did the research. Knowing that another customer has the exact same set up made my decision so much easier. Buy these speakers and you won’t be disappointed.

Good for the price, depending on your needs

I have a 10 year old all in one boxed system from Onkyo with included 7.1 speakers. You can get a current Onkyo boxed receiver and 7.1 speakers for about the same price as these Infiniti speakers or a low end receiver. With the Onkyo boxed set you will also get color coded quick setup instructions and included stripped speaker wire. That’s quite a buy and its what I will revert back to next time around.
These Infiniti are nice glossy black speakers and they have pretty good sound, especially for the money. It came down to these, and the Klipsch 500. I went with these because they were a little cheaper, had slightly better reviews and came with a more powerfull subowoofer. I however really like my 4.1 Klipsch promedia computer speakers, so it was a tough choice. Since these are for a bedroom I didn’t think I needed 7.1 speakers, so I tried something different. I bought the Denon 2310 receiver and these. They will be adequate for most small to midsize rooms. I do not like the Denon receiver they are hooked too, and I think it hampers their true potential. I cant really say anything bad about these speakers, but I am not blown away by the sound like some reviewers are here. They are however nice looking speakers with good sound and I think they will satisfy most people.
I think these speakers and the Klispch 500 are the two best speakers sets for 500 or less. However, the Onkyo receiver and 7.1 speakers all in one boxed sets are the best overall deal for about the same money.

RC-micro 5.1 as a substitution

I ordered the Take classic based on reviews on Amazon and Consumer reports. The vendor advised me they would upgrade me to the RC micro 5.1 model since they were our of stock on the Classics. I am very pleased with the substitution. They sound crystal clear and are great connected to the Onkyo HT-RC180. I have cranked the volume up to uncomfortably loud levels with no noticeble distortion. I found setting the subwoofer crossover frequency potentiometer to maximum and the power level to 50% resulted in the best blending of subwoofer to micro speakers. My room was large and I wanted to be enveloped in sound so I purchased a second Energy subwoofer positioned diagonally across the room. This achieved its purpose. I also backed off the power level to 40% on both subwoofers. I would also recommend the Atlantic
