Drug Addiction: The Introduction

Drug addiction is considered as the most grievous problem for centuries. Predominantly, opium, heroin and cocaine were used for many kinds of medicinal purposes until people use them for fulfilling their physical cravings. As a result, the number of addiction is increasing day-by-day creating so many other problems. Earlier, people try to hide their problems but now with the improvement in the medical facilities and increased public awareness, modern drug treatment can be availed very easily. Also, these treatments are available to all without charging too high.

As the addiction disease makes a victim obsessive and compulsive, many physicians and experts have classified it as a disease which is incurable, progressive and will lead to institutionalized or death if no actions have been taken for the recovery. At that stage, addicts find themselves completely powerless and ineffective to stop their actions and get back to their normal way of life. This act of theirs will not affect them but families are completely devastated by the continuous use of drugs.

Symptoms of the disease of addiction:
Every drug addict knows that it is best to stop the use of drugs in the best intention of life. However, once get addicted, it becomes quite difficult to moderate their use. When attempting to control their drug addiction, addicts may start consuming drugs more. Sometimes, they start consuming more as it is very difficult for them to control now. Now, the stage is called a disease when victims lost the control on their addiction.
