Do You Think Domestic Violence Is Overlooked More if the Family Is Rich?
Question by Marian: Do you think domestic violence is overlooked more if the family is rich?
I know a family that lives in an affluent area. They have teenaged children. Both the mother and father abuse serious drugs (coke, pills), and the father abuses the wife ( to the point of ER trips for broken bones); he possibly beats the kids. The authorities have been informed, but the kids have never been removed, and he only went to jail — for a few hours — once.
