Do You Agree With These Two General Observations About Religion and Society in General, and My Interpretations?
Question by : Do you agree with these two general observations about religion and society in general, and my interpretations?
with morality, you need a foundation at some level. We can experiment as a society, and spend a generation or two or three tweaking all the old fashioned ways, but to some degree, the foundation needs to remain intact, and that is what religious ideas do for any culture, and what all the “tweakers” resent because they think that the person is trying to say they are superior to their way, but it is really just that person restating their religious beliefs that they too are tied to, and subject to.
The Bible states that God loves me, so why would he make me wait for science, or some other person to tell me that we have proof.
Why wouldn’t he make the proof be universally found among all people, and so basic that anybody can access it, and also make it accessible at any time.
1. Some people resent really rich people because they have a lot of money, but not enough people realize that they put that money to better use to help the country through their taxes, and all the job creation they provided on their way up to becoming wealthy. Similarly, some people resent the people that strive for any true morality within any culture, since they push the notion of absolutes since it more often than not involves a basis of a religious belief. However, believing in moral absolutes, is the underlying foundation for a society to be successful at a moral level, not to mention at a “professional” level in any business.
2. Whether you believe in God or not, it makes sense to me that if God loves the individual person as the Bible states, that he would never let the responsibility of finding proof of him rest on some group of individuals to then explain it to the rest of us, he would provide equal access for all, at any time. This by definition, eliminates some forms of proof that some people try to find, and also some ways that people even attempt to look for the proof.
