Question by NONAME: Do republicans think nuclear bombs won’t effect the environment either? dependancy?
What are republicans against exactly when people want to clean the environment? Is it because we’ll turn to alternative fuels or something? What is the sense in arguing that pollution is bad even if global warming does not exist? Makes no sense to me.
It’s sad that we need filter our tap water in order to drink it… Is that not bad enough?

President Bush called in his State of the Union speech Tuesday night for the United States to break its “addiction” to Middle Eastern oil using technological solutions.

“Keeping America competitive requires affordable energy,” Bush told Americans, who are paying more than $ 2 a gallon for gasoline. “Here we have a serious problem: America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world.”

Looks to me that either what side you’re on they want to rid US oil dependancy.

We DO need to decrease our addiction to the oil in the Middle East. But not because we are making the globe warmer, just because people in the middle east pretty much suck.

My idea is to quadruple our oil consumption while looking for alternative fuels. This way, by the time we have come up with a less-expensive fuel, we will have bought all the oil in the Middle East and they will have gone broke.
