yes, they can help to deal with withdrawal however they work better on stimulant withdrawal.

buprenorphine* is the best for withdrawal of opiates..

or methadone..but methadone is much harder to obtain and mostly for hardcore heroine addicts..etc…

buspar will help minor withdrawal..

however not major withdrawal like for instance a 80-160mg oxycontin addiction..or heroine addiction..or fentanyl..etc…
