David Lawrence Center Named 2012 Naples Daily News Healthcare Hero for Community Outreach – David Lawrence Center, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and substance abuse treatment facility serving children, adults and families was honored by the Naples Daily News as a 2012 Healthcare Hero for the Community Outreach category. The Naples Daily News “Here’s to our Heroes” awards program recognizes excellence, promotes innovation and educates the community about best practices to enhance the value and quality of health care in the Southwest Florida area. The Community Outreach Award recognizes an organization that reaches out of its normal sphere of operation to focus attention on a healthcare issue or helps solves a community problem.
