Can You Help Me Find Out the Long Term Effects of Abusing Drugs?
Question by Mat: Can you help me find out the long term effects of abusing drugs?
Basically my two roommates do drugs, one of them quite a bit more than the other, but I digress.
I just want some information or web pages I can print out to leave on the coffee table about negative long term effects of various drugs.
I don’t do any drugs or smoke anything, I do however, drink alcohol.
Roommate #1 drinks, smokes cigs and weed, and thats it.
Roommate #2 does a whole lot of stuff, drinks, smokes cigs and weed, chews tobacco, does ridallin and other ADD type drugs, mushrooms, cocaine on occassion and has done ecstasy a few times.
We kicked out this one guy that lived there before and he was really a bad influence on #2, and so now, I think with him gone, and just me and #1 as roommates hopefully, I can get him to stop the drugs, at least cut it down to alcohol/cigs/weed.
Heeeeeeelp!

I don’t have a website but as a potential chemical dependency counselor back in the 80’s we were taught that drugs combined with alcohol gave a life expectancy of 52yrs. of age –am sure you can type in drug addiction and come up with many sites for addiction. My hubby (who I am now his primary caregiver) abused drugs and alcohol and had a cerebral hemorrhage in 2005 and his right side is paralyzed and has severe aphasia (brain sending signals for speech) and has now broken his hip on the affected side and had a drs. appt, today and there complications and more surgery is needed. I doubt if he walks again–show this to ur roomate as it comes with truth and agony from a drug abuser’s wife. PS-he cannot remember his middle name .
