A businesswoman who aspires to do more than just earn profit, Edana seeks to serve her community — especially women. Edana is the owner of Blöok, a boutique chain store that boasts a clothing line for women of all ages and size. Raised in a single parent family (her dad was a drug addict and left the family when she was 5), Edana was self-sufficient at a young age and self-financed herself while studying in Melbourne. With minimal family support, Edana found herself with the wrong crowd and spiraled down into a drug addiction that consumed 4 years of her life. Because of that, she didnt get through her studies and lost everything. However, life took a turn when she found God and that helped pull her out of her addiction almost immediately. That day itself, she dreamt of owning her own company — even to the details of the people, the products and how it was to be run. This was 2 years before Blöok even started. Edana aspires for Blöok to be a place where single mothers find the opportunity to work. She also seeks to create an environment in every store where families can enjoy their mothers shopping experience. Edana believes in second chances even as she received hers and thus, exercises that motto with her current staff. Her dream Malaysia is to see a united Malaysia that respects every race as they are and one that fully acknowledges different strengths in each culture.
