Author and Counselor Clint Stonebraker

Atlanta, GA (Vocus) April 14, 2010

Spring is the season to spruce up the house, clear out the weeds in the garden, and open the windows to let in fresh air. In April and May, author and counselor Clint Stonebraker is hosting a series of “Spring Clean Your Relationships” events around the greater Atlanta area to share tips for reinvigorating and revitalizing romance, friendship and family dynamics. In support of his new book “Connected: The Art of Building Relationships,” Stonebraker will help his hometown audience learn how different relationships in various areas of life can be redefined and changed to be stronger, more satisfying and joyful.

The first event, which will include a discussion with Stonebraker followed by audience Q&A, will take place on Wednesday, April 21 at the Coffee Pot in Alpharetta from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The second event is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 at the Café Aromas Bakery Café in Lawrenceville. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks. As part of this month-long program, participants can follow Stonebraker’s daily “Spring Cleaning” tips on Facebook, Twitter @ClintFCB and through his personal Website.

“As we reflect on our relationships, we discover which are working well, others that need a little attention, and some that may need to be completely discarded,” Stonebraker continues. “Any spouse, romantic partner, friend, family member, boss, or employee can immediately improve the quality of their relationships by following three spring-cleaning basics: remove the clutter, scrub what’s dirty, and polish everything.”

This and each subsequent event will benefit Stonebraker’s charity partner, Partnership Against Domestic Violence. Now through May 31, Stonebraker will donate two dollars from the sale of his book available on Amazon and sold on-site at each activity. PADV, the largest nonprofit domestic violence organization in Georgia, provides professional, compassionate, and empowering support to battered women and their children in metro Atlanta.

In “Connected: The Art of Building Relationships,” Stonebraker helps his readers create a path to lasting relationships based on a personal definition of success, not a script handed down by families or society. As a counselor and director of teen drug abuse programs, including Insight in Atlanta, Stonebraker has seen people in crisis everyday. Over and over again, they are forced to examine their priorities and redefine their values, and most people in crisis find that the only thing that really matters is building and maintaining strong, loving relationships.
