Anyone With Experience Regarding Drug Induced Psychosis?
My brother can now be considered officially suffering from mental illness. He has probably always been mildly schizophrenic. Looking back on his behavior as a child and a young man, being mildly schizophrenic would explain a lot of the bizarre things he did. But a couple of years ago, he started using methamphetamine. And at some point during the drug use, he suffered a psychotic break. He is now full blown paranoid schizophrenic. The symptoms are now severe. If anyone has had a similar experience with someone, was that person eventually able to recover and be the person they once were? Were they able to recover from the more severe symptoms? and if so, what did they do for treatment?
