Anybody Upset With CVS Pharmacies That Were Formely Sav-on or Longs Drug?

For the past 25 years I have lived a block from a Sav-On drug store. Almost 3 years ago CVS took over my local Sav-On drug store.

When CVS took over things turned for the worst. CVS rearranged the store and moved the ailes around. CVS discontinued at least half of the items Sav-on used to carry.

Sav-On was terrific with long isles, large product variety, efficient check outs and clean stores.

Several items that I use CVS doesn’t carry but Savon did. My floor wax cleaner I have to buy at Vons market now. Toms mouthwash I have to buy at Whole Foods or Target. CVS only carries 2 varieties of Toms toothpaste. Sav-on used to carry 5 varieties of Toms toothpaste. The type of Toms toothpaste that I like I can buy at Whole Foods or Target.

In the cold beverage isle CVS does not carry Snapple while Sav-on did. CVS doesn’t carry any cold iced tea. CVS only carries ice cold Coke and Pepsi products.

One liter glass bottles of Pierrer sparking water in lime, lemon and plain were carried by Sav-On and CVS no longer carries them.

A few weeks ago I went into a Longs drug store that was just converted into a CVS and they removed everything Longs was known for.

For 23 years I walked to my local Sav-on store 4 times a week to buy necessities. Since the store changed to CVS I go once very 2 months.
When I do go to my local CVS I leave unhappy because I can’t find what I need. Sav-on used to have checkstands with conveyor belts when CVS has on cashier open with 10 people waiting in line.

CVS mostly stocks their shelfves with their own CVS brand product.

CVS discontinued the sale of fresh flowers at former Sav-on drug stores.

CVS didn’t do market research before buying out Sav-on and longs.

In my opinion I think that CVS was go out of bussiness in Southern and Northern California becasue of their crappy, worthless and junky merchandise stores.
The FTC(federal trade comission) should have blocked the sale of Longs Drugs to CVS.

Many Southern California areas had only CVS and Longs. CVS formed a major mononpoly.
