The Allegheny Co. police officer was convinced I was drunk. I’ve been sober and clean in AA for over 18years. Police officer insisted I have a drug test and a list of all my medications for bi-polar disorder. This was sent to a police lab and I was called and told over the phone I was under arrest and to come down to the precinct to be fingerprinted and my court date was May 23rd. I ‘better’ get a lawyer. I went to my psychiatrist and he hit the roof, he said he was the one who decided what was the correct therapeutic dose of medication for me not the Allegheny police. They decided one of my meds was over the therapeutic dose. What planet did I wake up on? Who gets arrested over the phone? If I was never read my rights or fingerprinted am I really arrested? How do I know how much I need to bond myself out with if I was never arraigned? WHY isn’t he out busting meth labs instead of computer techs at A Fortune 500 Company. If not for these meds I would be on SSI and YOU would be paying for me out of your taxes. What is happening and what do I do. My doctor is in with me. I’m asking for my friend-he is so shook up.

I have bi -polar too.

If they gave you a date, you’d better show up.
I’m sure you won’t be found guilty.
Get a lawyer . Make sure your lawyer talks to your doctor.
