State auditor encouraged by city’s progress
State Auditor Crit Luallen met with city officials Wednesday in what she called “… a very productive meeting.” Luallen spoke more than an hour to Mayor Connie Lawson, City Finance Director Mike Broyles and Interim City Manager Jimmy Howard, along with Patricia Featherston and Debbie Smith of Lexington audit firm Mountjoy Chilton Medley, who performed the city’s most recent audit.
