Alcoholism Treatment
Alcoholism Treatment – There’s a proven treatment method that’s been available across eastern Europe and Russia for many years. This treatment is based on the use of Disulfiram. This treatment has a very high success rate especially when compared to the more common self help methods that are widely used today. Our treatment is based around an intra- muscular implant of the drug Disulfiram. The fact that the implant is intra- muscular means that once it is in, it can not be removed or reversed. Disulfiram works in the following way. If alcohol is consumed when disulfiram is present acetaldehyde levels are increased 8 to 10 times that of those present during normal alcohol consumption. Within 5 to 10 minutes of consuming alcohol the effects of a severe hangover will be experienced. These effects will continue for as long as there is alcohol present in the body, with the symptoms being proportional to the amount of alcohol ingested. This is called the alcohol-disulfiram reaction. For more in-depth info visit www.alcoholaction.org
