Alcohol Intervention?

I recently broke up with the man I was in love with…because he made numerous bad decisions while drinking. I believe he is an alcoholic. I spoke with his ex-wife tonight and she said that she is taking the kids from him in two weeks… and the girls are scared for him. We all believe that he will be dead soon from the alcohol or his behavior…like wrapping himself around a tree.

So the quick thing is… does anyone know anything about interventions for alcoholics and how they work? As well as what happens with his job if he decides to go? He is the bread winner and supports his kids and ex-wife. i need some advice.

take him to an AA meeting or to a hospital where they can scan his liver and mayb that will get him to stop…my dad in an alchohlic and i told him to stop but he never did…then my sister started drinking and doing drugs cause she thought that it was ok fronm wut he had showed her…make sure that his kids get taught the right things. good luck and he really has to do it for himself or it wont work
