Question by Elaura: Advice about relative who might be on meth?
We were just at a family gathering and my husband’s relative appears to have “meth mouth.” She’s only in her 20’s and has lost a lot of her teeth. She has 3 kids, all younger than school age, who look very thin.

We are not a very close family and I don’t even know her address. I have heard about the terrible effects of meth on kids and I’m worried about them.

Would you try to call Child Protective Services? I don’t want to offend my in-laws but I can’t believe no one else has noticed this.

Ooh that is a tough situation because everyone is acting like they don’t know or don’t care. Talk to your husband and try to be a part of her life or her kids. If the situation worsens then try to help her, but she has to want to change. Calling CPS may start a family war.
