Addiction Help in Georgia?
Question by majikman83: addiction help in georgia?
If i admit to my physician i am addicted to pain medicine will he be required by law to admit me to a treatment center? Or can he treat me as an out patient, I am an addict not very severe compared to stories i’ve read (i take 10 mg oxy a day). There is absolutely no way i can miss days from work to enter a treatment center, is there any help without inpatient treatment? please help, Thanks, John

every thing you talk to your doctor about is strictly confidential unless of course other people are in danger, in your case i would strongly advise you to go to your doctor and just to see what they can do for you,
if you are working a full time job they must give you sick leave. request this off your boss and go into a treatment plan, otherwise your addiction may get out of hand
hope i helped
