Accused of Abuse?

Question by Sammy: Accused of Abuse?
The mother of my brother’s son called me and basically accused me of abusing my 4 year old nephew. She told me that her son told her that I held him down and I hit him on his hand. This obviously upset me because it isn’t true. I never hit my nephew, mainly because I don’t believe in spankings and plus it is not my place to hit him because he is not my son. I am just really hurt because it seems that his mother does not believe me. I don’t understand why my nephew would make up things like that, especially when I always took him to the park whenever he came over to my place and I’d always buy him ice cream. I am always nice to him. The worst so called “abuse” I did was yell at him when he went by my oven while I was cooking. I need some ideas as to what to do. Thanks in advance.
