Above the Influence:Anti-Drug Promo
Above the Influence:Anti-Drug Promo – I made this in the few hours I had left of the night with my little Samgsun SH100 and edited it in Windows Movie Maker. It is an extra credit video I made for Red Ribbon Week/ Anti- Illegal Drug promotion. No actual drugs were used in the making of this video, and I sure as heck didn’t actually inject myself. I am terrified of needles, and making this was a huge challenge in that aspect. Anyway, the story of the video is as follows: The character comes home, stressed and in a dark mood. She goes to the bathroom where she looks at herself in despair. In the kitchen, she grabs a drink and some bottled drugs… She also picks up a needle hidden in some china. After changing, she injects herself with some drugs (heroine) and goes to sleep; soon, she begins to dream. From there on, a dream takes place, as well as memories and the effects of drugs (ie:loosing friends, depression, addiction, damage to the body and soul, ect). It is apparent that the young woman is overdosing, and as hinted and foreshadowed, she begins to die. Through injections and pills, her body decays and her life fades away. In the end, we see her body laying on the bed and lifeless. *** I put this together in one night and tried to work with the best I had. Music is Uso Sora from the Elfen Lied soundtrack, and Gentle- by Issac Shepard Thanks for watching.
