One of my closest friends is 16. He’s a great kid… funny, loving, charming, gifted with musical talent (he’s a phenomenal drummer, and can sing and play guitar also), etc.

He could really be somebody, but the problem is, he likes drugs and basically anything addictive that will mess your body up in the long run. Never mind that he’s a chain-smoker who’s been puffing since his single digits, and likes booze and weed as well…. this kid has literally died for several minutes before on a mixture of coke and DXM, puked his guts out from meth-laced ecstasy, and tripped on shrooms. I think to myself, “Jesus Christ, what’s next? Heroin?”

He considers me his best friend and I love him to death, but all he can think of drugs is, “Yeah, even though that was scary and I could have killed myself, the high was SO worth it.” This mindset frightens and sickens me, especially from someone so young. I don’t know what to do.

Tell him that yu are worried and that he should try stoppin becuz its fun now but it wont be later wenn hes in the hospital barely alive !
