Why Should Courts Be Able to Mandate AA/NA Meetings on People After They Have Been Ruled Religious by Courts?
Question by Cowboy: Why Should Courts Be Able To Mandate AA/NA Meetings On People After They have Been Ruled Religious By Courts?
Several Supreme Courts have ruled the 12 step program “unequivocally religious” especially because of spiritual indoctrinations. Separation of Church and State forbids the 10 Commandments from being in the courtroom however, someone may be forced into 12 step treatment with the threat of prison or their children taken away. What’s wrong with it is your understanding. The courts say AA “or other 12-step or treatment program.” Additionally, if they say only AA, the person can ask if another program will be okay based on religious belief.
You sound like one of those government conspiracy sue-happy people.
