I befriended an assistant of mine who is much younger than I am, I’m 40 and she is 19. I took her under my wing because she has had a tough time with her own parents and she looked to me as a mentor. My own daughter has overcome a drug addiction. Now it’s come about that this girl is telling her little sister not to hang out with the firends that she is because they are friends with my daughter and has gone as far as saying that my daughter is a “tweaker”. I guess this is why adults should steer clear of becoming friends with people that are so much younger?? Should I takle on the same approach as I always have and try to approach her and explain why it’s wrong to say such things? I understand her concern, but I’m at a loss as to what to do. What do you think ?

yes. you were nice to her in almost a motherly way, and she treats you like this? uhuh!
