A cigarette smoker who has finally realized the dangers of smoking and is ready to take the quitting challenge, needs to find the best ways to quit smoking cigarettes. I like to tell people that are going to give quitting their best shot to make sure they’re ready and willing because the next time will be much harder if they fail. This is why it’s so important to find the best and most effective system that will knock out those cravings for good so that you can enjoy the remainder of your life on a much higher note.

I will gladly share with you some very effective ideas you’ll need to include in your plan of attack. Not every situation is the same, so you’ll need to apply what you figure works best for you. I never like to put any kind of pressure on anyone trying to quit and I know what it’s like when people bugged me about smoking. Cigarettes are worse than cocaine as far as addiction goes and it’s not a simple solution or a game to quit this filthy habit. Personally, I was in pretty deep with cigarette smoking, I mean I had smoked for too many years, like 40, and it would take more than just a well organized plan of attack to douse this fire.

First, I’ll always ask you two very important questions before attempting to make that first move to quit smoking:

#1. Are You definitely serious about quitting, knowing that there is no turning back on this one. If you feel you’re not ready, then postpone this episode until you’re ready because there is no system out there to help you if you can’t help yourself.

#2. Be sure to find a damn good reason to quit smoking because you’ll need this to reinforce your strategies and quitting will become so much easier if you have a reason to quit. Too many people wait too long to find this reason and by then it’s too late in many cases and the damage is too extensive. You see, there is over 4000 chemicals in cigarette smoke and these chemicals will eventually kill you and before they do, they could damage different parts of your body to the extent of causing severe health problems that will cause severe pain in your body. Don’t wait for this to happen or you’ll be sorry!

Now that you’re committed and serious, let’s get organized to end this vicious problem. I never like to promote the use of prescription drugs or any methods that could cause serious side effects from quitting. I know these methods do work but what other problems do you end up with? There’s nothing like the good old natural way and once you find out exactly what’s involved, quitting smoking actually becomes a piece of cake.

Here are some very important guidelines to follow if you’re going to be able to succeed and keep yourself in the fight with nicotine cravings and habits:

1. Now that you really want to quit and you’re looking forward to a healthier and longer lifestyle, you should start cutting back and give yourself about two weeks of this mellowing out period. Try and cut down to 6 cigarettes a day and while doing this, try and forget your cigarettes at home every so often.

2. It’s also important to make a list of all the benefits of quitting smoking on the left side of a sheet of paper and on the right side, write down a list of the many dangers of smoking and even some startling statistics. 3. Once the day has arrived to butt out, the best time to have your last cigarette is before you go to bed. Oh come on, don’t cry now, it’s not that bad! Just look at the benefits of quitting – You should be rejoicing!

4. Remember, the first three days are the worst, the third day being the worst and after this, things will improve and by the end of one week, you’re free sailing. Just be sure you understand that the withdrawal symptoms are temporary and don’t last too long. Some may drag on a bit longer but they do eventually settle down and are replaced with nothing but the best improvements.

5 If you gain some weight, this is normal and you need to relax as you will return to normal down the road if you follow some very important eating and exercising rules.Some people actually lost weight that took this very serious and exercised daily and stayed away from sugar.

6. Try eliminate coffee, alcohol, and sugar for at least the first couple weeks, as the sweets and caffeine seem to trigger nicotine cravings.
