How Long Before Physical Withdrawal Symptoms Fade After 1-2yrs of Daily Opiate (Oxycotin and Percs) Abuse?

Question by JAZ: How long before physical withdrawal symptoms fade after 1-2yrs of daily Opiate (Oxycotin and Percs) abuse?
I haven’t used opiates in 89 days. I have no cravings, but feel constant pain throughout body. I wonder if this is due to my body being numb for so long while using. Now, I feel every little ache and pain.

Will my body and pain perception ever be normal again?

*Added info – I went through a rehab program, but did not continue taking Suboxine as directed by my Dr. I’m thinking that was a mistake, but at the time, I just didn’t want to be on any drugs.

Yes, your body and pain perception will be normal again. You have to be patient. I was on morphine for six months for burns and my whole body felt like a bruise for months after. I went on topamax which really helped because my skin was still damaged and I didn’t want to be on narcotics anymore. To my surprise, the topamax got rid of the other aches and pains. It is prescribed for nerve pain and migraines, mood stabiler, etc, Neurotin is a similar medicine that even works better, but causes weight gain. But sometimes the best medicine is no medicine and just allow your body to detox and heal. It will.
