Are These Symptoms Withdrawal Symptoms From Masturbation Addiction? Please Take This Seriously.?
Question by Gavin B: Are these symptoms withdrawal symptoms from masturbation addiction? Please take this seriously.?
Ok… well let’s just say it’s been a very boring summer. I’m transitioning between high school and college and it’s the longest summer I’ve ever had. Most of my friends are either working, or decided to start school in the summer.
The addiction has been slowly getting worse. It usually with me was about once a week before the summer that I would look at porn and then masturbate, sometimes not even looking at porn. As the summer went on it went to about 3 times a week. Then it went to once a day. Then it went to where I was about 4 days ago, which was 2 or 3 times every day. I started noticing changes with my body, such as changes in mood, and premature ejaculation, and slight aches in my lower abdominal area. I was fed up of this ruling my life, and I saw a website that kind of scared me with the warnings of what excessive masturbation can do to you. I decided to quit, cold turkey. I am aware that masturbation is a healthy habit when practiced in moderation, but for now I’m doing my best to abstain from it completely until all these symptoms that have began to manifest go away. When I have gone a few solid days and had absolutely no physical symptoms, I will start to consider doing it again. Just the way my body is reacting right now is scaring me.
These are the symptoms that I’ve been having:
-Severe lower abdominal pains, sometimes so severe that it hurts to stand. This was the first symptom I received. This began to manifest itself while I was still practicing masturbation excessively. I expected it to get better as the days went on without masturbating. It hasn’t. It has only gotten worse. It kind of feels as if someone kicked you in the balls, but the feeling remains longer and it is much worse. It’s not my balls that hurt though, it’s just the area right below the belly button.
-Constant feeling of slight uneasiness. I am glad to say that this has gotten better. The second night after quiting was the worst.
-Very frequent urination, like once every hour. This has actually only manifested as of today. I have barely drank anything today, but I keep having to use the bathroom.
-Difficulty sleeping. This first occurred two days ago. Last night, I litterally did not sleep at all. I just couldn’t fall asleep.
So, it has been 4 days, and my confidence is up, but I feel like I’m being tortured. Not even so much mentally anymore, it’s more physically.
Thank you so much for the people that actually took this question seriously. I’m worried.
Okay, I went to the doctor today and he directed me to the hospital. It has absolutely nothing to do with masturbation. What I have is called epididymitis. It’s a bacterial infection of the epididymis. It’s not serious when treated for…. just why me? Whatever, I have to take antibiotics for a week. I also have to wait another week without masturbating! oh joy! I’ll probably go like a week and two days though just to make sure I’m completely healed. Wow, this has been a fucking amazing summer… I get a testicular infection….
Btw Nick, fuck you. I knew I was right. There is something wrong. You can go suck a dick.

You’re becoming a man. I know this is not the answer you’re looking for. Your transitioning perhaps is taking over your mind causing all this anxiety. You don’t realize it, of course. Be sure to get in your daily liquid, get proper rest, monitor how many hours you are sleeping and either stay up later or retire earlier to adjust it. If I could be there to help you jo, you’d find yourself sleeping better at nite.
