I have a friend who has the behavior of either of these He has a hx of depression. He also drinks. He is not willing to get help. I know to stay away from him because he’s out of control behavior. Of course as a friend I hate to see him lose everything he’s work so hard to achieve. Can someone please tell me what a meth person looks like. He’s lost over 50 lbs in several months He does eat. He’s grandiose in non stop talking Has been involved with law was hospitalized once and d/c w/ sleeping meds and risperdol for agitation nothing for bipolar. He drinks everyday wine beer vodka. So what’s going on here?
Any one in mental health or dual dx field would be helpful

This website has the symptoms of a meth user. It is possible that someone who is bi-polar may try drugs to alleviate the pain they are feeling. Could be both really, but I doubt you will be able to diagnose this on your own.
